Even though the feeder is featured in the high delivering efficiency, it would have more or less failures during the working process. The following content will discuss about the techniques to deal with the feeder. The set of self-aligning idler has many types like intermediate shaft, four link rods and vertical roller. The role of self-aligning idler is to adjust the belt slip. It is advisable to use the self-aligning idler if the total length of feeder is too short.

To adjust the belt slip, you should firstly adjust the drive roller and bend conveyor. The feeder of quartz sand drying machine has at least 2 rotary drums. The installation of rotary drums should be vertical with the central line at the longitudinal direction of feeder. If the deflection is too large, the belt will be slipped. For the rotary drum at the head, if the belt moves toward the right side, the bearing seat at the right side should move forward.

With regard to the detailed adjustment, you should notice the relationship between moving orientation and slipping tendency of belt. The key points for detailed adjustment should be firstly placed on the head roll and bend conveyor, then on the carrier roller and point of falling material. To adjust the slip of feeder, you should adjust the tension of belt. In order to make the center lines of axle level with each other, you should make the two bend conveyors vertical with the belt in longitudinal orientation and gravimetric deflection.
