With regard to the X-sized lifting boards, they are effective to shrink the hot holes, prolong the dwell time of raw material, improve the heat-transfer efficiency and reduce the loss of hot temperature. As for the installation of X-sized lifting boards, they should be installed at the head of coal slime dryer for three or five sets. Within 3 meters, it is not advisable to install the lifting boards. Or else, the drying efficiency of sludge dryer would be influenced.

In order to improve the drying efficiency of sludge dryer, the spiral conveyor blade installed in the feeding end of coal slime dryer should be placed with triangular stiffened plates. The stiffened plates are usually made up of steel plates with 6mm. In order to improve the drying efficiency of slurry dryer, it should be equipped with one cone feeder. The roles of cone feeder are to slow down the flow rate of raw material in thermal belt, fully absorb the heat energy, improve the heat transfer rate and avoid the rotary drum and ring dam being burn out.
